Leona is a very caring and compassionate woman. Her life experiences have shaped the way she views the world and the people in it. She, unfortunately, strives for acceptance and reassurance of the people that matter to her and sometimes it can be a nuisance.

History

Leona was surrendered to an muggle orphanage by her mother when she realized it wasn't safe to keep her daughter anymore. Growing up with muggles was an interesting experience for the youngster; she was considered weird and generally avoided, unless the other children wanted to know if they were going to get adopted. Leona had successfully predicted the adoption of three kids before then and it caused a bit of a stir. Needless to say, she wasn't surprised when a Hogwarts professor showed up to take her away.

Leona struggled in her first year of school, making her doubt her placement in Ravenclaw, but was determined to make a come back in her second year. Getting in the swing of things second year was a cake walk; she pulled decent grades and made a fair few friends around the castle, mostly with the ghosts, but who cared. Her next few years were nothing special as she didn't really break any rules. Back in school, her favorite subjects were Divination and Astronomy, both of which she excelled in.

After she graduated from Hogwarts, she worked in Diagon Alley for a few years, trying to save up to open up a small shop in Hogsmeade. Recently, she acquired enough to do so and is currently trying to put that plan into action. However, she knows she will need another job to support herself. Leona has heard rumors that Hogwarts needs a Divination professor and has considered applying for the job.

When Leona was a child back at the orphanage, she predicted, successfully, which children would be adopted when. She didn't tell anyone how she knew, she just did. Leona would often have vivid dreams of all sorts, but dismissed them as such, even after she began attending Hogwarts. It wasn't until she began taking an interest in Divination that she realized she had some minor forms of Prophecies.

Leona never thought that her dreams were anything more than that, just dreams; even as an adult, she associates her 'dreams' with sleep. When she 'dreams' during the waking hours, she often cites a sleeping disorder as the cause of her 'falling asleep'; most people react oddly and she becomes embarrassed, leaving quickly. It's only been recently that she has been entertaining the idea that her dreams may be more than that. However, as an orphan with no clue to her parentage, she is unable to trace her family line and claim any sort of Seer blood, but surely there must be some, or else she wouldn't have the gift she has.
