Personality

Caroline has since grown out of her competitive nature (when it comes to her friends), but she is always striving to be better because of how insecure she has always been. Which is probably one of her biggest personality flaws.

Extras

QUIRKS:
• When she feels uncomfortable she gets a bit of a haughty attitude since she doesn't like being put on the spot by anyone. She prefers people to think she's a bitch than out of her element.
• Big control issues: Which has a lot to do with the fact that she was moved from foster home to foster home as a child. She lacked control throughout her entire childhood and refused to be put in that situation again. From now on Caroline is self-reliant and does what she wants when she wants to.
• Competitive: She doesn't delude herself into thinking that she's perfect, but she has a very competitive nature. Especially when it comes to her childhood friend, Ivy. They used to be frenemies until a few years ago when Caroline went through some big issues and started to mature.
• Picky with food in an odd way: When it comes to food she can eat certain things in some ways, but no in others. It definitely makes her feel like her brain was wired funny.
LIKES:
• Chocolate: There is just something about that sweet and silky taste that gets her in a good place.
• Kick Boxing: After what happened to her parents she refused to be the victim.
• Romance Novels: Which happens to be a guilty pleasure of hers and she refuses to admit that she even touches them.
• Parties: There is just something about a party that allows Caroline to let loose, especially if she's the one that planned the entire event. She has quite the knack for party planning.
DISLIKES:
• Small places: Her foster parents had locked her up in the truck of their car for a day as punishment for knocking over one of their antique vases.
• Knives: They were nightmare inducing during her youth because of the scar across her abdomen. Now they only tend to make her flinch unconsciously.
• Pickles: Just looking at them gives her the heebie jeebies. Though she has no idea why as she has no issues eating them, only issues looking at them.
STRENGTHS:
• Strong-willed: As insecure as she is never lets anyone tamper with her spirit. No matter what people throw at her or how much pain she has to go through she has never let her will be concurred.
• Protective: Caroline doesn't want anyone she cares about to ever get hurt again. She's already gone through that before and she doesn't want to lose anyone else that matters to her.
• Determined: Doesn't let anything keep her down for long. If at first she doesn't succeed she tries and tries again until she gets it right. When she sets her mind to something practically nothing can stand in her way.
• Loyal: Given how she hasn't had a secure parental figure since her parents were killed she very loyal to the people most constant in her life. She's very loyal and puts no one above their well-being.
• Overachiever: Her insecurity with always being second best tends to make her try to over compensate with every other aspect in her life.
WEAKNESSES:
• Insecure: Though she seemed outwardly confident because she doesn't like to show her weaknesses too easily. Only those who know her well can see how insecure she really is.
• Too trusting: She's always been a bit too trusty with people even after all that she's gone through. Caroline never seems to learn her lesson no matter how many people lie to her.
• Attitude: When she attended Salem she was known for being quite the bitch so not that many people actually liked her, but with time she matured and stopped being quite so bitchy. Though when the time asks for it she can still tap into that part of her, something she's not too happy with as it brings her back to that insecure little girl with no real friends and more problems then she could count.

PATRONUS: When she got her letter to Salem, it was when she finally knew that there was something more out there for her other than moving from home to home
BOGGART: Being caught unawares by the people who killed her parents
DEMENTOR: The day she watched her parent's get murdered and was attacked herself. Most nights she still wakes up to the nightmare as it replays in her mind over and over.
VERITASERUM: That she's not as put together and confident as she would like everyone to believe.

History

• Age 1-8 was spent in her parent's home and she lived a relatively quiet an normal life. Nothing ever seemed to happy, but she was happy with her family. They lived in a completely muggle home which she later found out was because they were hiding from someone. Not like that really helped them since she was witness to her parent's murder when she was 8 years old. She had gone down to say goodnight when she heard the yelling. At first she thought her parents were fighting with each other, but the further she walked the easier she could differentiate between the different voices. Caroline peeked between two pillars on the staircase and saw a green light flash toward her father and she screamed. Her voice seemed to kick start her mother and she tried to run to Caroline only for the other man to stab her with a knife. Caroline ran to her mother against her better judgment only for the man with the knife to swing at her. It sliced right through her as if she was made of butter, causing her to fall back. It was a surprise to her how she managed to scramble away and hide away upstairs. She never knew how close she had come to death that night until she realized what that green light actually meant.

• Age 9 was an entire blur for her. She can't really remember what happened in that year as she spent the entire time grieving and rather comatose.

• Age 10-11 was when she was placed in her first foster home; Marcia and Able Finkle. They were a very Christian family who opened their arms happily to the little blonde bundle that was Caroline. Until things started to get a little freaky for them as accidental magic became quite frequent because of her emotions running on overdrive. They were more than thankful with Salem had offered her a position at their school that they didn't even bother asking what exactly the school entailed. An boy was Caroline excited, to learn that she was a witch may her feel connected to something. Except she wished that she could have shared that news with her parents. Her first year was a blur of excitement and wonder as she was learning so many new things. It made her feel whole and for the first time she was able to forget about her sad life and finally make a friend, sort of. Since Ivy turned out to be more of a rival then a friend, but they kept close regardless. An when she got back from her first year at Salem they sent her back into the Foster Care system and Caroline started to feel resentful.

• Age 12 she was moved to live with; Camille and George Staple, an elderly couple that was nothing but nice to Caroline, but by then she didn't want to try and be a family. She knew that they would send her away just like Marcia and Able did. Her bitchy attitude started to come out and when she had to leave for Salem again she could practically see the sigh of relief emanating from the Staple family. An things between her and Ivy only got weirder, thankfully they had Rebecca and Sebastien to play referee. Though Ivy and Caroline never really fought they were constantly competing. Though it was more on Caroline's end than anything else. She unconsciously resented Ivy for her perfect family.

• Age 13-17 were normal. She continued attending Salem, moving from one Foster family to another every year once she returned back. No one ever wanted to keep her and she never wanted to keep them. Even though her home life left much to be desired her school life went rather well. She was at the top of her class, due to her over-achiever like behavior and trying to overcompensate for everything she felt she was lacking. An by the time she was meant to graduate things between her and Ivy were much better. Caroline had started to mature and stop competing with Sydney about every little thing. She still felt insecure about guys always picking Ivy over her, but she tried her best to ignore that and took to dating in a whole different way. So she had yet to get into an actual relationship.

• Age 18-22 consisted up getting an apartment with Ivy and Rebecca, partying and working their way through University. Things were going great for them until Caroline decided that she needed a change of pace. She had heard of some job in England and decided to just go for it and try to convince her friends to go with her. Though by the time she left she wasn't quite sure of their decision.

• Now at age 23 she settles in to her life and is in for quite the surprise when Ivy, Rebecca, and Sebastien come to England to stay.
