Personality

Theresa is a hard working, studious woman with only a few friends. She does not mind this lifestyle, as she finds it difficult to trust anyway. The friends that she does have, however she would protect with her life, along with her parents. This doesn't mean that Theresa isn't kind or thoughtful, it just means that her doesn't like to open herself up to people who may very well hurt her in return.

QUIRKS:
• Too Honest - Theresa often doesn't think before she speaks and doesn't feel the need to apologise for stating her opinion, even if she offends somebody.
• Counting - Theresa counts almost anything. The number of steps she has taken, how many times she blinks as another person is talking, how many strokes of the hair brush. It comforts her to count things.
LIKES:
• Reading - Theresea loves to read. She enjoys any book, from the classics to Sci-Fi. She has even been known to read the textbooks of her favourite school subjects.
• Walking - Not running, though she does usually run in the morning. Walking to Theresa is not about fitness, but about clearing her mind and taking the time to think about the important things in life.
• Diaries - Rather than having a close friend to talk to, Theresa has a diary. She pours her thoughts, feeling, ambitions, and actions into it and ensures that the information is safe by magically sealing it so that only she can open it.
DISLIKES:
• Laziness - She can't stand when people are lazy. You won't find her helping somebody with their homework unless they are her friend and have a good reason to need her help.
• White Chocolate - White chocolate is not chocolate. It tastes far too sweet and fake.
• Blood - The smell and look of blood makes her dizzy, and all she can think about when she sees it is pain and hurt.
• Sharing - Theresa in an only child, and therefore has a lot of trouble sharing.
STRENGTHS:
• Intelligent - Perhaps not the top of the class in every subject, but Theresa is in no way dumb. She usually receives a good grade in her subjects.
• Quick Thinking - Theresa doesn't often get herself into sticky situations, but when she does it doesn't take long for her to hatch a plan to get out of it.
• Care of Magical Creatures - She has a soft spot for animals, and is surprisingly good at caring for them.
WEAKNESSES:
• Trust Issues - Theresa doesn't trust. At all. She may share a secret or two, but she expects to hear it back from someone else pretty quickly. She doesn't know where the problem started, but she has been that way since she was quite young.
• Divination - Theresa isn't the type of person who discredits how legit Divination is, she is simply bad at it.
• Food - Exercise is a must when you can't say no to food. Theresa will eat anything that is well cooked, and is always interested in trying new foods.

History

The pureblood Violet Heron was only nineteen when she found out she was pregnant. Her parents told her that she was to either marry or never speak to them again. Leaving home and never looking back, Violet married the father of her child; halfblood, Matthew Rhodes. In the early hours of June 6th, 2050 Violet delivered a healthy baby girl, Theresa. Theresa grew up in a mixed home; a lifestyle filled with both muggle and magical things. At the age of eleven, Theresa received her Hogwarts letter. She started Hogwarts the following term and quickly settled in to her new life at school.

Theresa went through Hogwarts making only a couple good friends, though she got alone with most of her peers. After a considerable amount of both hardwork and luck, she received good NEWT results. After a few years of travelling around Europe, she now hopes to settle in to a career.

Acceptance Letter Response

Eleven year old Theresa Rhodes had never shown accidental magic in front of her parents. Which is why they were so surprised to see the letter that was addressed is neat, green cursive to their daughter. Theresa woke up to her sunlit bedroom, the light filtering through the window reflecting onto the pale pink walls. Smiling to herself, she wondered what the day would bring. It was her eleventh birthday; a day that is looked forward to by almost every young magical person. But she was also worried. She hadn't experienced any accidental magic, and she had read about Squibs. Her parents had assured her that whether she got a letter or not that they would love her. It comforted her only slightly.

Theresa yawned as she got out of her large bed and padded to her draws. Choosing her outfit, she changed her clothes and heading out of the room. She could hear her parents having a conversation in the kitchen and tried to listed in. She couldn't make out what they were saying until she was at the doorway.

"There she is!" her mother said with a smile, standing to reveal the food laid out for the birthday girl. Theresa was sure that her mouth was about to start watering as she walked toward the dining table. She stopped in a tracks when she saw the cream envelope, her eyes widening. "Is that what I think it is?" She asked, slowly moving closer. Her father shrugged playfully and smiled. Theresa picked up the letter and lifted the wax seal. Pulling it out, a little rough in her excitement, she began to read.

Dear Miss Rhodes,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry...
