Personality

Jessica is a bit of a loner.  She loves to be at the great hall reading and studying than hanging out with others.  She is often seen drawing others when she isn't reading.  She is talented and often gives others the sketches she makes of them.

When she is around friends though, she is very sweet and often talks about the ideas that go around in her head.  She hopes to become a writer for the wizarding world.  She does help out others who may need help studying and doesn't mind helping younger students practice their spells or go over their homework.  Jessie likes where she is in life, and doesn't care what others think about her.  When she is around those she likes she takes on a very different side, one few see.

QUIRKS: Jessie blushes a lot, always has her sketch pad with her and always seems to shy away from others.  She gets upset easily and doesn't like confrontation.
LIKES: Reading books, studying.  Jessica loves to read horror muggle books.  She has a deep fascination with the tales of vampires and undead.  She also loves to write her own fiction.  She likes boys a lot as well although she is very shy and barely speaks to them.

History

Jessie grew up in a very mixed family.  Her mother Marsha Ravenheart was a Slytherin at her time at Hogwarts who feel in lover with her father Warren Ravenheart.  Warren was a shy Ravenclaw who changed her mothers ways.  Her mother was quiet the well known Slytherin in her ways until she met Warren.  She gave up all her darkness for him.  When the two wed, they had two daughters, Jessie's older sister Katherine and Jessie.  Katherine who is two years older than Jessie took on her mothers old personality.  She was sorted into Slytherin and began to become a very narrow minded witch.  

In the summers before Jessie got her owl, Katherine would torture Jessie for pleasure.  Jessie however took more to her fathers smarts and began to get away from her sisters horrid ways by reading.  When Jessie was sorted to Ravenclaw, her sister basically disowned her.  They barely spoke and when they did it was to cast or deflect a spell.  Jessie began to fall in love with the muggle world after a while and her parents began to buy her books that were from that world.  This angered her older sister to the point that Katherine tried to kill her sister and family right before she vanished from their lives.

Jessie has a scar on her back from the incident and doesn't talk about her sister.  She never wants to see her again, and her parents have given up trying to find her and get her to turn around.

Acceptance Letter Response

Jessie had been waiting days for her owl.  She knew it was coming soon.  Her sister was smiling, knowing it wasn't going to come.  she knew that Jessie was a freak to the wizarding world.  Kat hated Jessie's ways.   Just then, a small fluttering of wings sounded outside the Ravenheart's home.  Warren and Marsha smiled as the owl dropped the letter into their doors slot.  Jessie, a small little eleven year old ran to get it.  Kat, simply scuffed, and stormed upstairs to get her wand.  
"Open it sweetie"  Her father spoke softly to the red haired witch.
"I got into Hogwarts mum, dad!  I knew I would!"  Jessie cheered and hugged her parents.  Such delight would not last long.  Her sister, Kat sat at the top stair, glaring.  Ever since she became a Slytherin, her sister was twisted in her ways.  

"Just hope you don't get into my house brat."  Kat shouted down, and Jessie curled closer to her mother and father.  The little witch was terrified of her sister.  

"We need to take you shopping in a few days.  Don't bother with your sister, she's just jealous you got in too.  We love you Jessie."  Marsha said softly to her daughter as the three entered the kitchen to get lunch.
