Personality

Charlie is cold, displaying little to no outer emotions, and if there are any, they are usually faked. She is very manipulative and constantly wants her way; if she doesn't get what she wants, she can turn very nasty. Portraying herself as someone who is poised and confident, she hides her true intentions behind masks that have masks that have masks; it is therefore nearly impossible to distinguish when Charlie is being sincere or not. She enjoys seeing people (who she deem deserve it) suffer. Compassionate and caring are not words that exist to describe her, although if it does benefit the situation, she can very easily pretend to be.

History

Charlie Olivia Atkinsons was born on the 5th of May to a typical Pureblood family. Not once during her first two years of living did she spend more than 5 minutes with either parent, instead being raised by an array of nannies. It was when official training started that her father took interest in her, having ‘private lessons’ with the young girl; her mother suspected nothing, and none of the staff dared to speak out for fear of being murdered. At the age of 9, she finally realized that these ‘lessons’ her father was conducting with her was not something that should happen, but when she tried to tell her mother, the older witch ignored her, instead telling her in no uncertain terms that if Charlie ever said anything that even suggest it ever again, there would be a price to pay. This was her first lesson in the hierarchy of thing – the law wasn’t something that was valid for those at the top.

When she entered Hogwarts at the age of 11, she was thankful for the temporary end to her abuse. Very quickly she rose in popularity, and for the first time, her father had taught her something she could use – how to manipulate people. It was around this time she discovered she had romantic feelings towards other females, but because of the things she had heard her parents openly discuss in front of her, she perceived it as wrong.

Charlie very quickly proved that she was gifted in magic, being able to perform non-verbal spells by the time she reached the 5th year, and was doing some wandless magic by the end of her 7th year. Passing her N.E.W.Ts with flying colours – as all Purebloods were expected to do – she was already engaged to a man.

On one evening, after a particularly long night with her father, she couldn’t take anymore and ran away. Deciding that she wanted to make the bad ones pay, she enrolled herself to be part of the Order, working in the lower levels. Two years passed and she became restless, bored of the way the Order was doing things. So, one day, she switched alliances and became a spy for the Death Eaters. This continued for a few years, until a formal invitation to join them came with the promise of revenge. For as long as she could remember, the Order had told her the same thing – no action could be taken against her father because of his position, as it would create uproar in the community.

She was 23 when she murdered her entire family – her father, mother, and younger brother – and joined the ranks of Death Eaters for good. For a few years all was good, and then disaster struck and her leader, who she idolised and was secretly in love with, got captured. Swearing to take revenge, she gathered those who remained loyal and began anew, fully intending to finish what was started.
