Remembering how her wand was broken was probably the most hurtful memory she had. That had hut really deep inside, but now she had a new life she knew she needed one. She couldn't be in England, specially in the magical England, without a wand of herself, and also, being without it she felt like an important par of herself was missing.

That was the reason for her to visit the Diagon Alley trying to find the wand shop she had heard was the best, Ollivander's. She got lost a couple of times; it was the first time she was there and watching actual magical life was even making her dizzy, she had always lived surrounded by the worst muggles ever.

Finally, asking, she found the shop and walked in, moving towards the counter. She greeted the woman - quite attractive, truth to be told - with a nod of her head and chewing a gum, as always, she took the questionnaire she had to fill and a quill and started writing.

After that she looked up at the shopkeeper.
"So I'm new here and I have no wand, mine was lost in my bithcountry some time ago" she mused clearing her throat and offered the parchment to the woman, waiting for some kind of reaction.

Rowena was just absently filling out some paperwork and working on keeping up with her books when a someone new stepped inside her shop. She glanced up, watching them as they made their way to the counter with a nod in acknowledgment. "Hello, welcome to Ollivanders," she returned, slightly subdued as the woman turned her attention to the parchment before her. So as she filled out the necessary information Rowena returned her own attention to the book in front of her, scribbling down one more note before closing it gently and setting it aside.

"Well, welcome to the country Ms.." Rowena quickly glanced down at the completed form, smiling as she met her gaze. "..Gomes," she said before realizing that the woman had gone without a wand for some time. Rowena didn't know what that meant, but as it wasn't her business she wasn't going to pry any information out of her. "Well you've come to the right place," she started more enthusiastically at the prospect of giving a wand from someone out of the country. "If you don't mind me asking, what part of America are you from?" she asked curiously when she couldn't place the woman's accent.
