Name: Caroline Lancaster Age: 23 Position Wanted: Auror Department: Department of Magical Law Enforcement Qualifications/Experience: Auror Mastery and training has been completed as well as studying kickboxing and other forms of physical combat for many years. To keep herself fit and able to protect herself against any form of attack, be it magical or physical. Caroline was also part of the dueling club for all seven years at Salem Academy. RP Sample of Work: Caroline licked her chapped lips as she walked through he halls in her sensible footwear. It felt weird no to wear heels or flats, but she figured she could get used to the more practical shoes of that of an auror. It was her dream job since the day she witnessed her parents being murdered. It was the only way she could honestly feel like she was doing any good in the world and because of that she was willing to make sacrifices. One big sacrifice was relocating to England. She could have been just as good over in America, but she had heard some rumors about her parents from the other side of the world. Which led to leaving the only family she knew behind.
The thought alone made tears well up in her eyes, but she blinked the away when a Ministry worker nodded at her as she passed. There was no one she would allow her name to be besmirched with labels of cry baby or something similar just because she couldn't keep her emotions in check. Already she was receiving scrutiny because her home country was no England. Caroline was not blind, she had noticed the less than complimentary looks when she spoke. Her lack of an accent was made abundantly clear when she started to talk so she had taken to silence when walking around. At least until she felt comfortable enough to speak her mind to whomever tried giving her cold looks.
Speaking of cold looks she was receiving one from who she could only assume was her commanding officer or the department head. However they preferred to be addressed. "Good evening sir," she started politely hoping that she wouldn't have to start off acting like a bitch to prove herself. Though she was fully prepared, she was joining the ranks of what was sometimes considered man's domain and Caroline would not let anyone bully her into submission. Silence grew between them as she waited for him to make some sort of acknowledgement that he had even heard her speak, but none seemed to be coming. An just as she was about to open her mouth to repeat herself louder a noise broke through. Caroline blinked rapidly, wondering if she was meant to go on the defensive for an attack since the noise didn't sound life threatening, just surprising.
Before she could even ask the Department Head what was going on they were called out of the room and she quickly followed, silently watching their every move cautiously. A meeting seemed to be happening and she stood on the cusp of the room, not sure where she belonged in the midst of things. So she kept quiet and just listened carefully and it wasn't until she heard her name that she really snapped to attention. "Yes, sir," she nodded as her orders were given to her. She was meant to assist only if necessary. Her main job was to observe so she would be able to preform her duties without supervisor next time. It seemed like something they would give to a girl, but she would show them how capable she was. Caroline made give off the impression of some ditzy blonde because of the way she looked, but she was just as capable as the rest. If not more so since she didn't make a habit of underestimating anyone she came in contact with.

Name: Adeline Maurice Age: 18 Position Wanted: Auror Department: Department of Magical Law Enforcement Qualifications/Experience: Adeline learned a great deal from Dark Arts albeit she herself never practiced it but watched her father and his friends perform it. She graduated from Hogwarts with ten N.E.W.T.S, was Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain in which she learned to take charge and she took a course in Magical Law Enforcement in which she learned all the skills necessary to be an Auror or anything within that field. RP Sample of Work: Auror: All she could hear was the sound of her own breathing, if even that. And if she was to be honest, that terrified her. Technically speaking this would be the first time she ever had a case on her own despite the fact she it assigned to her and some idiot who decided to faint when he saw her. For all she knew, Abigail was supposed to have backed down and go to her own corner of the Wizarding world. Yet who was the blonde that her and her partner saw running away and disappearing into nothingness. There was no way the blonde was a ghost, Adeline's werewolf senses told her there was a human in front of her, or something close to human at least. There was something different about the female compared to most other witches. To say something wasn't right was an understatement.
Creeping around the corner, the brunette noticed a dip in the dust covered rug. It was barely noticeable sure but it was there none the less. Following the tracks, well in dips in this case, she came upon a dead end where there was no door, window or painting in sight. Yet something urged her on. Feeling the adrenaline rush kick in, Adeline only hoped that the back up she called for was on their way because no matter how confident she was in herself, she knew that this wasn't a one man job. Trailing her fingers along the wood wall, she sensed it get hallow in one part. She almost rapped her knuckles on it until she hesitated. Would she go in? Was there anything behind it? What of her partner? What could go wrong? Despite her Ravenclaw judgement telling her to wait for backup, she proceeded anyways. Pushing around slightly she thought she felt the wall move forward but brushed it off as her imagination. It was until there was a prominent sliver between the wall and the secret door that she knew otherwise.
After the door was pushed back enough to reveal a decent sized opening for her to go through, she slipped into the room, shocked at what she found. Somehow she had ended up in front of the building. Off a few ways down she sensed her partners body still in the same spot as earlier and still breathing. Running to him, she stayed by his side, waiting for the back up to come so she could figure what the hell was going on here.

Gavin Stevenson Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
Subject: Re: Ministry of Magic Job Positions Thu Dec 05, 2013 10:38 pm
Name: Gavin Stevenson Age: 26 Position Wanted: Head of Department Department: Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures Qualifications/Experience: Back when he lived in Massachusetts, Gavin held a couple of different high management positions in different areas of work and so he possesses superb leadership skills. He knows how to make quick decisions, and he also works well under pressure. He's persuasive and has a way with words, and so he is easily able to ensure order and efficiency within his department. He's also an avid gym-goer, and so he is very physically able for the job. RP Sample of Work:
Leaning over his desk, Gavin released a gentle sigh, the air skimming past his ajar lips as he closed his tired eyes. The stack of paperwork had been growing steadily over the week and he knew he'd neglected it long enough, though flipping through the parchment had never been his most favorite activity. He much rather preferred the hands-on portion, but with the pros came the cons and he knew he couldn't always be out doing what he wished, even as the head of department. He needed to ensure everyone was doing what they were meant to be, that his attention was brought to everything that it needed to be, and that he lead the department the way it needed to be.
Stress wasn't an option, though he was much too into his work to get that way. But he knew he had a lot to prove to not only himself, but everyone working around him because of how new he was. It was off-putting, to have such a stranger bustle in and steal one of the coveted positions. But he felt he'd properly earned it and he had to show that he was the real deal. He pinched the bridge of his nose in between his index finger and his thumb, hoping to ease the ache that was beginning to slowly throb near his temple. "Hell," he muttered, cracking his eyes open for a mere moment to locate the water he'd placed not too far away on his desk. Taking a generous sip, he placed the glass back in it's spot just in time for a knock to reverberate throughout his office. At first, he considered ignoring but knowing it may have been a job, he called, "Come in."
In popped a head of blonde hair, followed by a string of chatter about how two of the employees were not getting along as well as they should have been, and therefore it was effecting the way they were working. Gavin knew damn well that he didn't have time for such immature behavior, and instead of looking at the woman he instead stared gloomily at the abandoned parchment he'd been bent over for the past hour or so. Filling in details and signing off his name had never felt quite so tedious, and now he had to make amends between adults that should have been able to do it themselves? He was going to need more than just that water. Jaw clenching, he finally turned his piercing gaze onto the woman, his look quickly silencing her. Without so much as a care, he shooed her out with a single flick of his hand like she were no more than a nuisance to him. "Send them in."

Name: Blake Darling Age: 28 Position Wanted: Hitwitch Department: Department of Magical Law Enforcement Qualifications/Experience: Experience in killing and dueling RP Sample of Work: Tonight was another night like any other. Blake was off to kill another target. One of many she had taken down, and it would not be her last. She had a made a life killing people and it disturbingly suited her. It was like a well fixed vice that she got paid for, and what could be better? Still she found pleasure in it, and it made the world a little bit better for her kids, so why not?
The evening was cooling. The summers end was approaching and the breeze in the air was chilling. It gave leeway to her target though. His scent filled her nose, it was slightly rancid and none too appealing close up, least of all a decent amount of distance away. The luxury of being what she was. It made the thrill of the chase more fun. It was often times a game to her and she played with her targets like they were a mouse. Prey. And that was what this man was.
She let out a low growl as she caught wind of him running and the raven haired woman went after him. Easily taking him out with a spell in the process that had him laying on the ground by the time she caught up. "Didn't anyone tell you not to run from me?" she mused in a sickeningly sweet voice that was even too much for her. "Well I will give it to you slow, babe," she mused tantalizingly as she held her foot at his throat to keep him down and easily break his neck if he squirmed too much. "How about we..." she trailed, running her wand along her chin before muttering a spell and his legs fractured a few times over.
His yell was like music to her ears as he squirmed beneath her. "I wouldn't move too much, My heel has poison on it," she warned. It was a spiked heel. By all intents and purposes, giving off the appearance of being hard to walk in, least of all run in, but Blake managed. Even more so when she got to puncture him. "You know what, I am growing tired of you," she expressed with a slow breath, pulling out a lollipop and stuffing it in her mouth. She snarled and plunged her hand in his chest and ripped out his heart before tossing it aside and throwing his body over her shoulder. "You're paying for a new shirt, bastard." And with that she aparated back to collect her bounty.

Name:Ivy Stevenson Age: 23 Position Wanted: Administration Staff Department: Level One Qualifications/Experience: Has experience in administration and is very good with time management, organisation, and punctuality. RP Sample of Work: Ivy was nervous. She had been at her new job for less than five minutes and was already swamped with work. It had been one file after another piled onto her desk and she watched with wide eyes. Each thud was accompanied with a quick explanation which she wished she'd been paying attention to.
After the rush of incoming work, she sighed and picked up the first folder. Reading a name that she didn't recognise, she opened it hesitantly. Her stomach dropped with relief when she saw that there was a note stuck to the inside of the cover. She picked up a quill and a piece of parchment to begin a list of things that she needed to do.
She was almost finished her list, along with the parchment, when yet another person entered the room. Ivy dropped her face into her hands before remembering that she was working. She looked up with a bright smile plastered on her pale face. The woman was holding another stack of folders, and returned the smile that was given to her.
"You must be Ivy. My name's Ashley, I'm old holder of your position," she said. Ashley entered the room and placed the files of Ivy's desk. Reaching out a hand, Ivy causally lifted the front cover of the top folder, pleased to see a note.
"Who writes those?" Ivy asked, hoping that it would be an ongoing thing. She doubted that she would ever be able to keep up, despite her love of organizing. "Oh, that was me. I figured that I would help you out on your first day, since I remember mine. I have to get going. Don't worry, you'll pick it all up in no time."
Ivy watched the woman walk away, wondering if she was going to be back to help her. Get it together, Stevenson. It's not as much as you think. Ivy added the new tasks to the list, and got to work.

Name: Cassiopeia Timere Age: Twenty four Position Wanted: Hitwitch Department: Magical Law Enforcement Qualifications/Experience: Superb skills in combat/wand work/dueling, also bilingual so would be able to do international cases, able to work under pressure, quick thinker, will do what she needs to. RP Sample of Work:
Hidden in the cloak of darkness that was the protection of the trees, Cassie tried to focus on regulating the rasp of her breathing. She had been chasing a particular man for what felt like hours now, though it couldn't have been more than twenty minutes at most. It was like a game of cat and mouse, with him being her prey and she unable to wait until the moment she could pounce, claws extended. There had yet been a convict that had made it away from her clutches and as difficult as this man was proving to be, she refused to be outsmarted by filth like him. It was unacceptable. Wrinkling her nose in distaste, she was finally able to settle the thundering of her heart as light eyes flickered around her surroundings. Waiting. Listening.
Sure enough, a crack of a twig resounded off from her left and she sprung into action, feet gliding across the leafy ground with practiced ease. She bounced from foot to foot to avoid making much noise at all, able to navigate herself around fallen branches and crunchy leaves that would otherwise give away her location. Her wand, clutched within her left hand, was ready to be used at any moment. A break in the foliage was just up ahead, and she could see the light illuminating from it. Then, a shadow. Her target. He was running toward the same break she was, but the difference being, she didn't intend on letting him get through. Ducking to avoid a branch sticking out, she regained her balance and composure long enough to mutter, "Stupefy."
It wasn't long before she was hot on his tail, and without really thinking much about his size or his possible strength over her, she tossed herself into the air and locked her arms around his legs in a tackle. They were both brought down with sickening thuds as he scrambled, trying to kick her off. The struggle was difficult and she sustained a multitude of injuries, but in the end, she prevailed. A few shouted spells and she had him tied up like the pig that he was. "Maybe next time you'll think twice before underestimating me," she muttered, picking herself up off the ground and spitting the blood out of her mouth before drawing her wrist over her lips. Well, another case down.

Name: Damon Eldridge Age: Twenty Two Position Wanted: Auror Department: Department of Magical Law Enforcement Qualifications/Experience: Damon received good N.E.W.T levels including an Outstanding in Defence Against the Dark Arts. He also did one year of on the job training in Canada. RP Sample of Work:
Damon pulled out his wand and sneered at the woman before him. They were about three miles out of a small town and she was a suspect in the murder of a muggle family in London. In in fact, it was all but proven that she’d committed the crime. He wanted to kill her, and wipe the smirk clean off of her face. He had seen the bodies that she had left behind, two of them were only children.
His hand was straight out in front of him and his wand was trained on her chest. The woman could try to run or apparate if she wanted to, but Damon would have her petrified before she had the chance. He said a spell and invisible ropes wrapped around the woman’s shoulders. He walked over to her and grabbed her arm a lot rougher than was necessary.
Damon apparated them both to the Ministry, and handed her over. She would likely be subjected to truth serum during her trail, and she hopefully wouldn’t be seeing the sun for the rest of her life. Damon went to his own office and sighed, know that he was in for a long night of paperwork and coffee.

Name: Connor Bennett Age: 26 Position Wanted: Auror Department: Magical Law Enforcement Qualifications/Experience: Studied mastery in school for five years. Skilled duelist/combat, quick thinker, leader, easy tempered RP Sample of Work: Connor exhaled as he was sent out on another task. It was almost as if he had to prove himself, as the Head of Department had been sending to accomplish small things. He wanted an exciting case, a chance to show that all his schooling, all of the time, had been worth it. But he didn't argue, because he figured this was part of proving himself. He followed orders, arriving where he needed to be, and he took his post as an every day citizen, scanning through the paper as though he were waiting for a friend when he was, in fact, keeping an eye on people walking in and out of the building opposite of him. It was a practice, to focus on both, else he'd lead suspicions and then his job would be all for nothing. He had to make his family proud, to show he hadn't wasted money for something he learned nothing with.
He was there for a while, watching people strolling in and out and not one looked like the man he was tracking. He'd probably read the same line in the paper half a dozen times, and he knew he couldn't linger in the same spot for much longer without drawing attention. Right when he was glancing around looking for another perch was when he saw the man. He had to glance twice, because it was obvious something was being done to alter his appearance, if only slightly. Typical criminal behavior, but he'd learned all the tell-tale signs so it was incredibly difficult to fool the likes of him. Rising swiftly from his position, he tucked the paper away in his back pocket and casually headed across the street. Instead of following into the entrance like any other person might have, he ducked and headed toward the back.
Today, he was not to partake in any of the actual excitement. He'd been merely instructed to sit and wait, as that was the boring and tedious part. Then, after sending a patronus, he kept an eye on the man until the rest of his crew arrived to do the rest of the take-down. He exhaled, mildly upset, but he knew his time would come. Waiting until the man was taken down, he returned back to the Ministry with everyone else to report to the Head of Department. A short time later, he was seated at his desk, given the lovely task of filling out the paperwork. What a typical day.

Name: Ivy Stevenson Age: 28 Position Wanted: Mistress of Magic Department: Level One Qualifications/Experience: Has experience in administration and is very good with time management, organisation, and punctuality. She has a natural talent for public speaking and can have a conversation with almost anybody. She has been the Minister's key member of administration for five years, and at the time of their stepping down she decided to try her hand at the position herself. RP Sample of Work:
Ivy could lie to almost anybody and tell them that she was fine, but she couldn't lie to herself. She was nervous as she stood before the collection of people who would be providing the answer to her application to become Minister of Magic. It was a long process that she had begun almost half a year ago, and now she would finally be given the response. Her face held nothing more than a polite smile, but her left hand twitched slightly at her side as she tried to gauge what she was about to be told. But there was no hints in the eyes of the person who stood and approached her.
.....
"Yes, of course," she said to the man on the other side of her desk, somewhere that she had not expected to be sitting just yet. Of course, Ivy knew that there was a possibility that she would have been accepted, but she didn't truly believe it to be true. Her first thought had been that she was to young, then her second that she lacked the years of experience that so many of her predecessors had processed. Yet, she was given the chance to prove herself in the one way that she was both afraid and thrilled of- being the Minister.
Ivy raised an eyebrow as the man continued to speak, explaining what she would need to do. Of course, much of the things that she was being told were not new to her, but she remained politely quiet. She had been the one who organised the previous minister's business life, so she doubted that everything would be a shock, but there was of course going to be a number of things that she didn't already know of.
"I will be sure to have everything that you have requested completed by next week, sir," she said, a bright smile appearing on her lips as she stood and held out her hand, "thank you for stopping in. It's greatly appreciated, as is your advice. I will be sure to keep it all in mind." Glancing down at her meeting book as the older gentleman left, she realised that she didn't even have time for a glass of water before her next meeting was set to begin.
The woman raked her fingers through her hair, tying it into a bun on top of her head and dropped once more into her chair as she waited for the head of the Magical Law Enforcement Department to arrive. This was not a meeting that she had been looking forward to, but it had to be done.
Closing the planner on her desk, she pulled a few filed from the tray to her left and leafed through them as she waited. Soon enough, there was a knock on the door and she called out for her visitor to enter. "Good morning," she said politely, though she same smile that she usually wore was not in place this time, "please take a seat." Watching as the middle aged man did just that, she tried to get a good view of his character. Of course, the file that she had pulled from the records department gave her plenty of that, but she wanted to see for herself.
"You are a lawyer, Jacobs?" she asked, before letting the top of the file fall and she pushed it away. "Yes, Mistress," the man said quietly, a slight sheen of sweat appeared on his receding hair line. He was nervous. Perhaps he knew why he was here. "What made you decide to enter the position that you have?" Ivy asked, her fingertips grazing her chin as she waited for an answer.
The man frowned and he shrugged, "I thought that I would be good at it. Not to mention that the pay check is a hell of a lot better." Ivy let out a sigh and shook her head, picking up a high stack of files and dropping them one by one in front of him.
"Elisabeth Sharpe. John Grey. Marissa Lindt. Callie Moore," she said, her gaze stony as she took in the picture that were paper clipped to the front of each manila folder, "these are the people you have let die... in the past week. Do you understand where I am going with this?" Ivy dropped the rest of the stack on top of the others, at least thirty folders spreading over his side of the large desk. "I can't let this keep happening, you understand?" she said, sinking back into her seat, "I am going to give you a chance. You'll be demoted back to a general lawyer, but I highly doubt that you'll be able to obtain such a position again. I'm sorry."
As the man nodded, as though he was expecting this, Ivy lifted a few forms and handed them to him, "please fill these out and hand them in to the receptionist out the front. The paperwork for your transfer will be completed by the end of the week. Have a good afternoon."

Name: Thera Carlisle Age: Twenty Six Position Wanted: Head of Department Department: Level Two - Department of Magical Law Enforcement Qualifications/Experience: Thera is a very hard worker, very punctual, and is very dedicated to her job. She received an outstanding in her Defense Against the Dark Arts O.W.L's as well as in her Charms. She worked for a time in the Romania as the assistant to Head of Department. She is bilingual in most languages but she can only read a few in their native tongue. She also excellent in dueling. RP Sample of Work:
Thera was running as fast as she possibly could, she had finally gotten a lead to a case that was about to go cold involving a train that was derailed and had fallen off a bridge, it killed three muggles and two wizards. The muggle police assumed it was a freak accident, but when Thera and a few other Aurors got there they knew a dark spell had been used. She had an informant who told her she could find a possible suspect in Borgin and Burkes, he would be there searching for an old relic, the informant had know idea what the relic would just what it looked like. She chased the man through the streets of Knockturn alley, she was glad she decided to take all that extra training otherwise she would be passed out on the ground from all the running.
Thera finally caught up to the man as he went up the stairs to Diagon Alley, she grabbed him by his jacket sleeve and spun him around and forced him against a wall. Thera pointed her wand at his throat as he just smirked smugly at her. " I hear you have an ancient relic that can do bad things to good people." She said as she had the man pinned to the wall. " Plan on derailing more trains and killing more innocent wizards and muggles?" She asked him, she noticed his eye's widened slightly and she smirked. " Ah, so you are the one who derailed the train in London." She said.
" Where's the artifact?" She asked him. " None of your bloody business lass." the man replied as he glared and had that smirk plastered on his face, she sighed aggravated by this mans smugness. She noticed he was trying to hide something in his coat pocket and she grabbed his wrist forcefully. " Whatcha trying to hide?" She asked as she pulled out a small statue with piercing red eyes, it was all black with small hints of indigo, it looked like a crow.
Thera looked at him. " What's it do?" She asked as she spun it in her hands, the man stayed quiet, she rolled her eyes. " Fine, we'll do this the hard way." She said, she put the relic in her pocket and mumbled a binding spell, binding the man, and she apparated them to the Department of Magical Law enforcement. She handed him off to one of the workers and pulled the relic out of her pocket, she put it where all undocumented relics and, after some research, found out that it could cause a world wide blackout. She walked into her office, sat down at her desk, and did some paperwork. Just a normal day at the office for her.
