Personality

Astrid is a vivacious, carefree young woman. She’s a dreamy little thing who sometimes has her head in the clouds, but she is definitely as naughty as she is nice, with a quick wit and a sharp tongue to match if the moment calls for it. She loves learning and has a soft spot for kids so it’s no wonder she wants to be a teacher.

History

Astrid didn’t have perhaps the most normal upbringing. She was but two years old when her parents shipped her off to some distant relations in France. Though they visited occasionally, in fact one of Astrid’s favourite memories was of her father teaching her how to play Quidditch; by the time Astrid  had grown old enough to ask  about their desertion of her, she had learnt to ignore their lack of presence in her life. Placed in the care of George Avant & Nimueh Emrys, a rather odd couple, she spent the next six years of her life in France, being taught all about the world of magic, before moving to England, where she was accepted in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Quickly being sorted into Hufflepuff and excelling through her schooling at Hogwarts, leaving with an impressive number of OWL’s and NEWT’s she applied to university, and set about fulfilling her life-long dream of becoming a teacher. Astrid went on to specialise in transfiguration, taking a few years out to travel and  explore further afield, returning  a few years later with the hopes of applying for a job at Hogwarts.
