Preferring not to bother her father, Kate had decided to take the money she had from her mother and go out for her supplies while her father was working. The streets were loud and crowded around this time of day, most people talking to others. She herself had her hood up, head down, and hands stuffed in her pockets. If there was any way to say "go away", this was it.
Her destination was only a few feet from her now, the shop looking rather old but well preserved. Architecture was always kind of interesting to her, which meant this place would definitely be checked out some time. For now though, she needed to get inside and find a wand to work with her. Her mother's hadn't been too kind on her when she did have it...

Rowena looked up at the newly charmed sky, since her fall from the stool and boring study of the ceiling she had decided to play around with ideas to make it more appealing. Sure she knew practically no one would notice, but it was hard to change her mind once she got stuck on something. It was all part of her charm, she was sure.

But as much as she enjoyed the charmed ceiling and it's changing scenario it gave her a weird feeling in the pit of her stomach. Maybe because the ceiling wasn't high enough to not feel as if you were being sucked into nature or quite possibly that she missed the stark whiteness of earlier. Whatever the reason she couldn't risk trying to remove the charms until after the shop was closed. It had taken her over an house that morning to set it all up and she didn't want to risk anyone's well being just because she felt a tad uneasy.

She shook her head, turning away from the sky to look out the front door, anything to distract herself from what was up above. It was when she was peering outside that she realized a young girl was walking directly to her shop. Rowena quickly straight up her things and waiting patiently for her soon to be customer with her customary smile in place.

"Hello?" Kate's voice was soft and quiet, her eyes alone lifted to look around the shop. Stacks of wands, all in their own boxes. Shelves lined with things that were probably way too expensive for her liking. Why on Earth did everything have to be so goddamn expensive? Well, then again, she already knew that answer...
"My apologies for coming in when you're possibly on your break and all, but the school year is starting soon, and- um-" There goes talking without stuttering. Her big issue with people... Dear god, kill her now.

The girl's quiet voice tugged at Rowena's heartstrings just a tad and she couldn't help but soften her appearance by looking slightly less formal. It was the best she could do, but she hoped it allowed the girl to feel more welcome. "Hello," she returned the greeting with a friendly smile once the girl's gaze seemed to have returned to her. It wasn't unusual for students to look at all boxes and feel a little overwhelmed, but that tended to only happen during their first year. Which only made her curious to learn if the girl had been helped by her father.

"No need to apologize, I'm not on break," she piped up after the girl came to a stuttering halt. Rowena leaned forward, pressing her elbows into the counter as she clasped her hands together in front of her. "Would you care to take a look around or I could help you find a new wand...?" she offered a couple helpful suggestions, trailing off to allow the young brunette to interrupt.
